Work this week was horrendous.
Initial thought when I found out that the boss had to go to the States for a business trip was pure joy!
1 whole week of FREEDOM. No one to report to and all.
but.
it turned out to be 5 whole days of headaches.
man...
i'm counting out to the day boss gets back to the office.
Apparently...i'm the next 'boss' since she ain't around.
and with great power comes great responsibility
every one of my people fell sick.
and there were problems everyday.
and...
the GM decides to email me asking me to help settle customers' complaints..
which has always been done by the boss.
had to see the ex boss many many times to help with many problem issues and all.

spoke to the top 3 scariest high ranking people of the company within 2 days.

recieved a phone call from the GM..ended up stuttering for abit before switching to some accent..
then...well..apparently when talking to people in power or...not very singlish people...or..people that i'm not too familiar with...
this accent comes out.
yeah.

dealed with sales people everyday.
dealed with the order department everyday.
nearly came to blows with the old biatch from the factory...she LOVES using her boss's name in vain...just because she knows that he's well feared by us...
but...i spoke to him both in face and on the phone..and he's ok i reckon...
didn't get a chance to shout at me..because i happened to go up to the office to face off with one of the salesmen..

Lucky me.

Replied an email from some manager of the Saudi Arabia plant...??!!???
and there were people from M'sia emailing me also..
Just seemed to me that as my boss wasn't around...
she'll usually deal with the problem cases and all..
i'll have something interesting happening somewhere...
either on the emails...
or in the raw materials lab...
or in the finished goods lab..
work is NEVER done.

forced to prioritise..

like...DUH..
work given by the GM will obviously be settled first...
etc.

have to jaga the sick mates too...
told them to rest if they need to..
but not all at once..
take shifts or something...

and...

I DIDN'T have time for lunch the entire week!

whatever time i had during lunch...i was either reading or trying to cat nap..
really bad headache...
with all the running around and all..

ah wells...
that's about that for the moaning and groaning...

now the good stuff.

Good stuff is...this week really exposed me to many many high ranking people...
and well...taught me how to handle responsibility and everything...
and..the NEED to have good mates in the department and in various departments..
cuz at least they can either help you..or tell you where to go for help..

reckon i kinda have solutions to most of the problems...
just have to wait for the boss to get back to see what she says..
and i finally have a neat desk at work..
after clearing so many problems...cuz with each problem..i create a new pile of papers and stuff..so yeah..they're all gone. :D

Thank God for seeing my through this week..

and i'll be not going to work next thurs and fri!
gonna go for some ISO auditors course...
yeah baby...
i'm about to be an internal ISO auditor..
wahahaha...
